The Blue-Eyed Knights drop a great weapon for the beginning of the game, the claymore. This strength weapon requires a good amount of levels to use, but it is well worth it. It is also worth the inevitable grind for players who are seeking to use it. It does both slashing and piercing damage at a rate of 70 physical per hit and what it lacks in pure power, it more than makes up for in speed of attack. These daggers are for players who want to get in and out of combat and rely on their dex to help them overcome the damage disadvantage.
Players will likely want to adjust their progress based on their chosen Builds, but this is a good outline for recommended progression. If you feel you have messed up your character, you can try to reduce your soul level to correct your build. One other area that Demon’s Souls obviously benefits by virtue of being on a console with an SSD is a substantial reduction in load times. Rarely will you ever wait more than five seconds in between deaths or while teleporting to a new location before you’re back in the action.
Demon’s Souls is launching alongside the PlayStation 5, which means it’ll release on November 12, when the console does. Right now, that’s the only platform to expect Demon’s Souls on–although there was a brief moment when it looked like we might get Demon’s Souls on PC as well. The trailer revealed during a recent PS5 game showcase listed the game for both PS5 and PC, but Sony corrected the record. That might mean a PC version is in the offing sometime in the future, but on November 12, you’ll need a PS5 to play the remake. One of the things fans loved about the original game is its unrelenting difficulty, and therefore, the supreme satisfaction it provides.
